I learned a lot
about good foods with the Food Groupies.
I really liked the Food Groupie story.
I also liked the tape about food groups. I like the Orange Food Groupie the most. I eat lots of good foods at home. Thank you.
David (6 year old)
I think your
movies were very good. I learned to eat
all the right Food Groupies. I gave my
Dad the Groupie five. He loved it. I also learned that some foods are healthy
and others are not.
Nicole (7 year
old)
I liked when the
food came alive and all the tricks the food could do. The orange could squirt juice and the broccoli could see very
far. Broccoli even saw the fly in Jennifer’s
hair.
Denise (5 year
old)
I liked your
video. My favorite Food Groupie is
Broccoli because it’s good for your eyes and skin. All the Food Groupies are very, very, very, healthy and fun. These are all the healthy foods I have at
home, oranges, broccoli, peanuts, corn, bread, apples and lots more.

Educators
I teach a Head
Start class and recently was given the terrific opportunity to use your Food
Groupie Early Nutrition Education Program.
My classroom is in the inner city.
Many of the 36 children in my room have never been exposed to good
nutrition and many of their parents do not have the knowledge or resources to
provide this information. The children
loved the Food Groupies. The videotapes
and plush toys were their favorites!
Thanks.

I would like to
let you know that the Food Groupies were a big success with my first grade
classroom. I thought the materials were
a great way to educate our students while entertaining them too. I believe that students learn greatly
through visual stimulation and social interaction. Thank you.

As an educator, I both
understand and promote the importance of teaching health and nutrition to young
children. I have had the pleasure of
working with the Food Groupie products on a firsthand basis. They are unique, exciting, and interesting
to young children and the perfect way to instill good eating habits in our
children. I truly can’t say enough
about how excited I am about these materials.
The most important message it has to deliver is of concern to us all.

My classroom
children really enjoyed watching your Breakfast Clubbies video. The Food Groupies were very
entertaining! When I asked the children
what they enjoyed the most, they all agreed on the Food Groupie
characters. I thought the video
presented a relevant topic. Often when
I ask the children what they had for breakfast, they say “nothing.” I think children need to be taught the
importance of breakfast and eating healthy.

Nutrition and Health Professionals
What a wonderfully
creative way to teach children about such important topics as nutrition,
exercise and developing healthy behaviors.
Children learn best when engaged in worthwhile activities that entertain
them. They will certainly delight in
learning about their health with the help of Olivia Orange, Bonnie Broccoli,
Melvin Milk, Bernie Bread, and Paulie Peanut.
The characters are clever and charming with personalities all of their
own. The activities are lively,
interesting and age-appropriate.
Sincerely,

Having reviewed
the Food Groupie Early Nutrition Education Program, I found it to be based on a
clever, whimsical tale, appropriate especially for young children. The characters are colorful and the dialogue
is up-beat. The storyline delightfully
incorporates up-to-date principles of sound nutrition and healthy eating. Parents and Early Childhood Educators will
surely find it to be a valuable and effective teaching tool.
Sincerely,

Kids really have
fun learning with the Food Groupies.
They enjoy watching the animated videotapes, reading stories and playing
with the plush food characters and plastic figurines.

I believe you have
a wonderful product. Many of our school
districts use your Food Groupie plush toys and materials, and the children love
them. The Food Groupies are ideal for
young children ages 3 to 7.

The Food Groupie
Nutrition/Science Activity Carpet is a terrific way to beautify our clinic’s
waiting area and demonstrate our commitment to nutrition education. Children’s interest and enthusiasm are
heightened as they are introduced to the Food Guide Pyramid, colors, shapes and
the alphabet.

Parents
My son Patrick is
four years old. He attends preschool
and is not a very good eater. Recently
they spent a couple of weeks discussing the Food Groupie Program. They watched The Food Groupie Adventures
video and have the stuffed toys in their classroom. Since that time, my son often asks what group his food is from
and what it does for his body. He is
more interested in eating things that are good for him. Though we still need to work on his eating
habits, the Food Groupie characters have been able to convince him of things my
husband and I have not.
Cindy (Parent)
I think the Food
Groupies are a new and exciting way for children to learn proper
nutrition. They helped my children
understand why it is so important to eat a variety of foods and what they do
for your body. I enjoy listening to
them tell me about healthy eating and which foods are good for them and why.
Donna (Parent)
I just finished
watching the Breakfast Clubbies video with my son, Parker, who is five years
old and beginning kindergarten this year.
He also had viewed The Food Groupie Adventures
videotape with his classmates several years ago. Parker thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast video and especially
commented on the new member of the series, Seemore the Computer. He said he liked the whole show and would
like to watch it again. Parker also
liked the Food Groupies very much. He
talked about the importance of eating breakfast. He even fussed with his father for not eating breakfast the next
morning. I liked the guest appearance
of Cathy Rigby.

Organizations
Your Breakfast
Clubbies video is delightful.
While our Association advocates eating breakfast at school, your message
on the importance of eating breakfast is one we are constantly
promoting. The use of the puppets is
especially appropriate to the targeted age group (3 to 7 year olds), as well as
the original song and dance routines.
Of particular interest to me was the segment about the different
breakfasts that children might eat in various parts of the world, as our
programs do reach a multitude of children from different cultures.

With its mix of
personable characters, lively songs and music, and variety of activities, the
Food Groupies encourage young viewers to get up and get moving while at the
same time teaching valuable lessons about the importance -- and fun -- of
physical activity.

I find the
Breakfast Clubbies video to be current in issue, interesting and on track for
our children. I am impressed with the
multicultural aspect weaved into the health basis and agree with the premise.
